AHEM. This is Moshiburner speaking. I found no other post to jack so screw it, I’m using this one.
Yes, I’m delaying stuff. Yes, it’s mostly back-burner stuff (no pun with moshiburner) since Raze and the crew (esp. fnord and ar) know that oh-my-GOD-THAT-GUY-IS-NEVER-ON-ANYMORE. Stuff like TLCing about…10 lines…in Fractale 9 BD. Damn I’m awesome. No sorry please don’t kill me I FIXED SOMETHING, REALLY I DID! THAT ONE VOFELY LINE (I’m talking to you kittengrinder. Yes, I went back and looked up your username.) BEING PORPHYRY. YUP. FIXED. You better thank me for that, anime-loving geologists, because honestly I know nothing about igneous rocks. Or what the word igneous means. Hell, I don’t even know if porphyry is igneous to begin with.
Right, so my point is…wait. I forgot. Ugh.

Hear ye, Hear ye, I come forth to bring you a random BD batch jam-packed with Nessa-goodness.
Let's see where to start. I was kinda lazy at first to do a BD release for Fractale but Xack offered to do the encoding and since it was only a 4 month turnaround for the complete series to be released on Blu-ray, I thought what the hell let's do it.
There won't be a 1080p or a XviD release, the 720p is the only version we decided to do since there was very little visual difference between 1080p and 720p (and I was lazy~). So consider this purely as an archive version if you liked the series. At 720p Fractale looks quite nice anyhow, thus your viewing experience won't be tainted!
I would like to thank Xack for taking the time to encode the series for us (thanks champ~) and to Moshi for stalling this BD batch for at least 2 months (<3 ya mate!)! There are really no changes from the TV batch except for Episode 9 where some new dialogue appeared in the wild, and consistency fixes for OP/EDs along with some updating to official lyrics.
arEdit: Doh. Looks like I forgot to align the ED Kanji correctly for Ep6-8 after changing them to vertical. This is what happens when I have no QC on my BD projects~ www. Here’s a quick fix for you guys anyway. Grab the patches and apply them with the .bats or (.sh for *nix/osx, also remember to chmod +x them and have xdelta3 on the system).
Status of other stuff:
Ano Hana TV Batch – Needs TLC reports applied, eta. when Moshi has free time (tl;dr could be a week or a month or 3, moshi is busy living the life~).
Gosick BDs – I’ve already told you people there won’t be monthly releases. Releases will be every 2-3 months. ETA to next release 3-4 weeks. (tl;dr when __ar has time)
Index II BDs – Last volume of the Blu-ray comes out this month, I have encoded up to episode 21 (current as of last month) and the staff member in question claims progress has been made, we have our doubts (www). ETA. when Index III airs or kusion hires a editor/qc who isn’t as god slow as he is or he actually works on it on a regular basis.

Welp, I resisted for as long as I could, but we finally updated the OP to the official lyrics. It is with great sadness that we have replaced “I’m ready!” with “I’m lady!”, along with some minor adjustments. My sincerest apologies to all for subjecting you to this.
I’m not sorry in the least, however, for this episode full of Azusa-and-Miki-in-wedding-dress, Makoto-in-tuxedo goodness. The ep is a clusterfuck of wth, but never has wth looked so good while telling fortunes or been so utterly lost while helping grandmothers cross the street.
Yes, feel free to cry for us once you count up the number of insert songs and anime-originals. We accept tears, blood, cash donations, and cookies. Warm cookies, though. None of that cold shit, please.
Quick note re: that guy I’m sure you’re all going to wonder about. He is never, ever introduced by name. Unless that is his name. Since he is referred to by the same name both in print and in person, we decided that his status passes for his name. After all, Azusa’s (and in several instances, the other idols’) friend Tomomi’s name is written as 友美, so why can’t other people be referred to by their roles?! The characters in Tomomi’s name are, literally, “friend” and “beauty,” a very common element in a girl’s name, used in this case to stress the name’s generic aspect. The name Tomomi, however, is a perfectly common name, though usually written with different kanji.
Finally, since I personally didn’t know about this: The ED, Hanikami! First Bite is a reference to the traditional first bites of the wedding cake taken by the bride and groom at the reception, fed to one another.

The baseball episode as previewed.
I wrote a long background introduction on Japanese high school baseball, so I’m gonna recycle it here for a really long TL note.
[spoiler]National High School Baseball Championship in Japan, or simply Koushien, is held every spring and summer. Thousands of high school baseball teams throughout Japan compete to become the champions in their own prefectures first (Hokkaido and Tokyo get two seeds), in order to get a spot in the national championship tournament played in the Hanshin Koushien Stadium.
To be able to participate (and win) in Koushien is every boy’s dream, and it is undeniably the most prominent school tournament in Japan given the popularity of baseball, especially since many players graduate and sign with professional teams without playing in college.
The summer tournament is especially competitive (spring tournament is invitational, with highest seeds), and national TV broadcasts for the finals often garner viewership ratings rivaling that of professional baseball playoff broadcasts.[/spoiler]
The title of this episode, That Summer’s Twenty-One Pitches, is a reference to a non-fiction novel Enatsu’s ‘s Twenty-One Pitches. “Natsu” is the kanji for “Summer”.
The novel was about the seventh game in the 1979 Japanese baseball playoffs final’s last game. A legendary match where the relief pitcher Enatsu Yutaka held off the opposing team after allowing a no-outs, bases-loaded situation in 21 pitches at the bottom of the ninth inning.
Well, enough TL notes. Makoto’s and Erio’s team finally play against the hopeless match where they face off a semi-pro pitcher from their school, with the right to host the summer festival at stake. Watch for Maekawa-san’s obligatory cosplay, Ryuushi-san being all moe, and Meme-san’s boobies bouncing.

EP8 – Everything is done except typesetting which is currently resting at Daiz (the typesetter) who is currently moving to a new dwelling, and will be doing so for the next few days. Once he has settled into his new place we’ll get this out. Our apologies for the delays.
EP9 – We’re going very slow with this, considering 8 isn’t even done yet. Considering I (Kusion) have had a long day at work, I don’t feel like staying up all night to wait for my turn. We’ll get this out tomorrow afternoon (if 8 has been released of course). Until then, keep bugging Daiz for updates on ep8, and don’t bug us for ep9! …Not yet, at least.
Please understand and try to be patient and it’ll be done when it’s done. Stop asking when it’ll be released or if we have dropped it. If it was dropped we would have said something.
