The encoder’s not feeling too well this week, hence the slight delay. We know that a few signs at 15:50-16:10 in the video are missing, but the typesetter had already gone to bed during QC and it’s obvious what the sign says. They’ll be typesetted for the batch and the Bluray releases, of course.

This episode had lots of action (and therefore relatively fewer lines), so I minded it less enjoyed subbing it. Hopefully you guys enjoy watching it too.

Lightning fast release this week! You can thank the crazy efficient team on the show… and the alcohol and nicotine in my body for depriving me of my good night’s rest.
It was totally worth it though. I’m still breathless from the sheer impact of this episode.

This was my favorite episode so far. About one minute into it, I realized I’d seen this art style and direction before. Characters looking quizzically, strange angles, weird backgrounds.
It reminded me of Casshern Sins far more than could be attributed to chance, and aye, the episode was directed by Casshern’s director. I adore this surreal beauty; Casshern may just be my
favorite show just as this is my favorite episode in this show. If you like this episode, I recommend you watch Casshern Sins.

Most of you will no doubt know about the Evangelion 3.0 movie preview that aired on NTV last night. We don’t normally sub previews, but I had some free time this morning from releasing Shinsekai Yori early, so I figured why not?
Translating well without context isn’t exactly possible, and when you’re just thrown cold into the middle of an action scene like this one, you can never be sure you’re right. I did my best, but a few lines and terms in here will almost certainly be translated differently for the actual full movie.
Speaking of the full movie, I guess this is a good time to say a couple things about it. We will NOT be subbing the camrip, as it will be a waste of effort. If UTW is still alive and I’m somehow still fansubbing when the Blurays for this movie come out, we’ll most likely sub it with THORA like we did for 2.22. I can’t imagine medical school getting any easier, so I’m afraid I’ll have to stop short of making any solid promises.
At any rate, please enjoy, and I’ll hopefully see you guys again for the full movie when it comes out sometime next year!

This episode, we finally discover the official spellings for a good number of ALO towns. Of particular note so far is the spelling for the Sylph town of Swilvane (we had been using “Sylvian”). We will of course update the previous episodes accordingly for the batch.
SAO fans should find this to be a pretty decent episode. I did, at any rate.
