"Where's Tamayura?"

After a long discussion with the staff, we are putting Tamayura on hold. The amount of effort that goes into an encode is not worth the quality. Not to mention we’re having a big problem with capping AT-X, which slows us down a lot. The staff on Tamayura have been busy with real life events, and we apologize for that. In all honesty, I haven’t had much chance to play iM@S2 yet. I plan to do so later this week, though. Remember: the stalls only affect Tamayura, and everything else will be released at the same speed.

Our plan is to continue translating and editing every episode, and holding it for the blu-rays (some decent 720p quality, at least). With that said, episode 4 will be released within the next few days, and episode 5 will be held for the blu-ray. If you’d like to see the translations (not timed to a script), we’ll post the raw versions up so you can see them.

We hope to see you back for the blu-rays (THEY’LL BE BETTER THAN THIS TV AIRING CRAP).

Anyway, I’m pretty sure with the addition of this image and this image, you will be able to tell what happened in horizon’s backstory. Or have sufficient reason to attempt making this face. (inb4 a comment saying >mfw)
Speaking of other shows, we would like to dedicate this episode to ano hana since…
Well, just look at these pics. THE COOTIES! THEY’RE EVERYWHAR!
‘Kay, so reasons to watch this episode:
1. Memories of good ol’ kindergarten when crayons were king
2. Flowers and girls, because those generally match
3. Nude scene with Fear. Well, sort of.
4. People using le wrong pinky to try looking fancy.
5. Giant enemy crab being hit on its weak spot for massive damage 😀
If you are allergic to flowers OR girls (what, it’s the internet) then please, instead of watching this episode go play RAGE.
In either case, do enjoy.
Oh right, if you’re wondering what the heck vinegared mackerel is, it’s called shimesaba (しめ鯖) in le native tongue. If you came to Japan, you’d probably first encounter it as a type of sushi. With the word vinegar in it and all it does indeed have an acidic tang to it, but imo it’s good stuff.
And yes, it’s a type of pickle. Picklefish!

Ho hum.  Another week, another vague foreshadow followed by little to no plot advance.  They are planning to wrap things up in 24 eps, right?  If they ninja a third season in there, I’m not really sure how I’d feel…
In semi-related news, iDOLM@STER2 came out on ps3 yesterday.  Between the addition of Hatsune Miku to concert battles/Stage4U and what seems to be several new songs not included in the x360 version, I’m actually pretty excited.  The additional disc that comes with it, Gravure4U, does not factor into my excitement at all.  Nope.  Not in the least.  Especially not because it’s the beach photo shoot disc.
More news on that front later, perhaps!

One thing which gives this show a little flair is the whole concept of non-regenerative damage. Your arm got cut off? Yeah, uh, it stays cut off. Sorry. Gruesome reality as-is for everyone since it appears nobody has a Heal spell at the ready or a cleric in their party to begin with 😐
Now why would I mention that? Well, because you’ll be seeing more blood and more murderfaces, and they will introduce a concept which is often left an abstraction in action shows. Don’t get it? You’ll probably figure it out by the end.
Hint: [spoiler]Look out for a transition full of TV-style static.[/spoiler]
Well anyway, I’m not responsible for any horrible memories that come back to you as a result of watching this week’s episode, so once again, DON’T EAT CRABS RAW. No, that’s not a secret code or an acronym, just don’t do it. Seriously.

And please, before some of you start complaining about the size of this episode, know that we here at UTW love you and would never troll you with giant filesizes unless the episode really needed it!
No, seriously. Practically the whole episode was dark and filled with plenty of action, both of which guzzle up bitrate like no other. I’m sure you’d rather spare an extra hundred megs or so of disk space than watch cubes jumping around and fighting— oh wait…
At any rate, please enjoy the episode. Next episode should be jaw-droppingly fabulous.

It’s animal appreciation week!  Everyone is invited!
The focus is on everyone’s favorite pet food-thieving idol, Hibikin.  Apart from a brief emohaya foreshadow at the start (which we pretty much ruined for you a few weeks back), the other idols make hardly any appearances.
I made use of a cute animal speaking to take liberties with translation.  Sorry to those of you who don’t get the reference.

Moshi forgot to make a post, so I guess I’ll fill in for him this week. This is pretty much a resolution episode for the first arc, complete with plenty of the mad faces and blood that just suddenly invaded this series beginning episode 2.
