And with this… Angel Beats! Blu-ray is complete! I’ve included The Making of Episode 2 in this, but we haven’t translated it because it’s a typesetting nightmare and there isn’t much said. The majority of the Blu-Ray project was done by myself (ar) since Ershin fixed up the scripts for the batch, but with this last volume Ershin, Raze, and Nikon also stepped in to help out. So here are the project credits!

Ershin (Translator): Ever since the last broadcast episode, the BD releases have by and large been left up to ar, since my role in translating was finished. So I can’t even begin to describe what a treat it was to have an opportunity to jump back into the world of Angel Beats! even for just one episode (and a tiny-ass epilogue >_>). I really hope you guys enjoy the special episode!

Raze (QC/Editor): I guess this marks the completion of UTW’s first BD project! The special was definitely a fun watch.

Edit2: Batch will be made once we’ve finished subbing The Making of Angel Beats! Part1+2, so maybe a week or two. They’ll be included in the batch, but they are obviously DVD encodes because the DVD is what came with the Blu-ray and there is no Blu-ray for them.

Winter 2011 Plans
The new show we will be picking up for the upcoming Winter season is Fractale, an original anime series airing in the first noitaminA slot; it will replace Amagami SS in terms of our scheduling. The series is slated for 11 episodes and begins airing January 13th.
Toaru Majutsu no Index II continues into Winter season, being a 24 episode show.
Depending on what other groups end up doing, availability of staff, and scheduling, we may or may not pick up an additional show; however, we will abide to our usual stance of avoiding shows that are already subbed well and reasonably quickly by another group or organization.

With this, the Amagami SS TV series is complete! It’s been a wonderful 6 months, but all things come to an end and it’s time to bid this series goodbye. And what a great concluding episode this was! It wraps up the whole Amagami plot nicely while serving as a recap episode of sorts; all within 24 minutes of play time.
We will of course continue to work on the BDs for this show, and as the scrolling text after the eyecatch was so thoughful to remind us, there will be a Miya extra episode included in the final BD/DVD volume. So I guess this isn’t really the end yet!
As our flagship solo project, almost all of the UTW staff have stepped in to help out for an episode or two, but I’d like to present to you the core team who has taken it upon themselves to show up every week over 6 months at the appointed time to bring you these releases. And without further ado!
Raze (Translator/Editor/QC): Oh boy I’m going to really miss this show. I really am. Also, Tsukasa = Ai = Stalker-tan > (Kanae) > Kaoru > Haruka > Sae > Rihoko.
Ershin (Assistant Translator): This is one of the better harem shows I’ve ever watched… and probably because it didn’t try to work as a harem. I had a ton of good times working on it, and more than anything else, I’m grateful for all the support you all have given us. ^_^v Until next time!
Kusion (Timer): There were only three good girls for this series: Ai-chan, Tsukasa-chan, and now Stalker-chan <3
Kemeko (Typesetter, 1st half): (Kemeko has moved on to greener pastures. Best of luck to him!)
fnord (Typesetter, 2nd half): Actually, I don’t really know what Amagami is or was about, since the only arc which I saw was Tsukasa’s (she’s pretty cool though). Well, I suppose it must have been a solid show.
ar (Encoder/Kara): Amagami turned out to be a lot more fun to work on than I originally expected, and thus I’ve had an enjoyable 2 seasons working on it. It’ll be missed~ I won’t miss the shitty banding though, good riddance to that!
And of course, thanks go to gg Fansubs and Eclipse Productions for providing high-quality .ts raws for us to work on!
We’ll release a batch sometime next week, which will also include txt file translations of each of the girl’s monologues, numbered as to where I think they take place in the series.

Here’s Amagami SS BD volumes 4-5, which contains:

Again, there were no other extras.
It seems we can come to expect extra scenes in each of the fourth episodes of each arc. Episode 8 contains some extra Kaoru footage… which I found to be a nice addition.

This release marks the completion of yet another series! Working on this series was pretty enjoyable, and we definitely had fun doing it with our bros at Ryuumaru. Most of us followed this series either for the heavy drama or the porn (or the twincest…) but it’s definitely been quite a ride for all of us. Unfortunately, none of us wants to work on the BDs, so it’s pretty unlikely that we will.

Here’s Amagami SS episode 24, also the ending to Tsukasa’s arc. And what an ending this was! The perfect kind of episode to sit down with a hot drink and a blanket in a cold winter night. I had to translate this in the dead hours of the night, but boy was it worth it.
So I apparently made a mistake last week and announced that this would be the last episode, only to discover that a certain episode 25 starring Kamizaki Risa will be airing in the midnight hours of Christmas Eve. Will we work on it straight away? Probably, but that’s difficult to say at this point.
This means the staff curtain call and all the tears will also be postponed until next week… but for now, we have for you two new polls! I’ll try and find some time to do a post on the results of the earlier Amagami SS arc polls.
