Spring 2013 Plans

These plans are subject to change depending on what simulcasters pick for the season.
There’s also the Evangelion Q movie that comes out about a month from now. We’ll be subbing that with THORAnime like we did with the second movie.

NB: I’ve added a patch for the SD because I just got told about the problem now. The patch is tiny and it just corrects the container level Pixel Aspect Ratio value. Looks like mp4box did something weird the first time around (probably my fault~).

The release of this episode concludes the 6-month ride of Shinsekai Yori! An what a great ride it has been. The adaptation could have been better (at least, that’s what all the novel readers have been telling me), but the story has been so fantastic throughout that I can safely say it’s one of the best series I’ve had the opportunity to watch and work on.
An inconsistency you will notice in this episode is that the Fiend is now referred to as a girl (the Fiend was male in the novels). We’ll of course fix the previous episodes accordingly for the batch.

fnord (Translator/Editor/Typesetter): Currently having fun in Japan…
valerauko (Translator): It was really nice to work on. I loved the novels great deal and the anime kept most of that charm too. Too bad there’ll never be a second season.
lygerzero0zero (TLC): It was a lot of fun working through the translational challenges the story presented and seeing scenes I’d read come to life. The books were still better though.
fgghjjkll (Timer): The show had its ups and downs, and although I generally did not like it, it had its moments. The thanks I get from timing this show each week motivates me to wake up early every weekend (though I make fnord really mad most weeks), so thanks for your support.
ar (Encoder/Typesetter/Handyman): Had a great time working on it, and had fun with everyone throughout. Was a good series and one of the better ones in the last couple of years.
Raze (QC): Simply fantastic to work on, especially with such talented people.
Hopefully the batch work for this won’t take too long, but seeing how unpredictable my schedule these days has become, I’ll stop short of making any promises. In case you missed it, we are doing the BDs for this, but again no promises on when they’ll be released.

Accel World – Batch

Finally managed to finish the batch work for this! It only took me months to do it!
All episodes except for 10, 11, 17, and 23 have been v2’d. I’ve gone back and re-edited episodes 1-9 (the episodes I did not translate) for stylistic and technical consistency. The other episodes were v2’d for stuff like terminology and typo fixes; worth mentioning is the change of the Black Legion’s name to the official romanization of “Nega Nebulas”.
I’ve also included the 720p versions of the EX episodes for “completeness”. No fixes were needed in those, so they’re the same versions as those we previously released.

P.S.: Gotta rush to class now, so the only method of distro is torrents for now; please bear with the slow speed. I’ll get the bots and possibly DDLs updated later.

__ar decided that he’d do 1080p encodes of the two specials, so you can grab them from the link above. Hopefully I’ll find the time to QC a few more Accel World episodes so the BD groups using our scripts can make some progress.
I’m hoping to get the batches for both Accel World and Sword Art Online out before the next season starts, but this will be subject to my IRL workload and, perhaps more importantly for the latter, whether my teammates also find time to do the batch work. It’s late, I know, but late is better than never!
