It seems pretty obvious that most people found my project update post distasteful. I apologize for that. After realizing that some of our project updates are buried in random threads with dozens, if not hundreds, of comments, it was obvious that we needed an actual post that provided people with updates on our projects. Please note that this post will (possibly?) be updated if things turn around. So for now, it’ll be marked as a sticky.
I want to make it very clear that with this post, no one should be commenting on the status of our projects in other posts anymore. We’re finally done with the IDOLM@STER movie! We’ve spent a lot of time making sure this release is as good as it can possibly be. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into this release (mainly for our lovely typesetter, Hdr), so we hope you all fully enjoy the beauty of all our work. We went with “To the Other Side of the Light” for the translation over the other options because they all suck. Sorry.
I want to thank RDF for joining us to provide karaoke effects for the last two big songs, and Hdr for taking care of all the typesetting himself. Trust me when I say there were a lot of signs, and Hdr managed to handle them all himself.
Unfortunately, the original translator for the series wasn’t able to work on the movie, but we’ve made sure to include his original style as much as possible throughout the script. We also made sure to match a lot of stylistic things with the series, and with what FFF released.

First of all, I will like to thanks fotc to allow me participate in this project. It’s a pleasure to be able to work with UTW even if what I did seems unnecessary for most people in the scene. However, my work for some parts was not alone. Therefore, here is a few shout-out to my comrades in Hoshizora. Special thanks to kstng and Minoru for the k-timing of the songs, Shujin0 for advice in the ending and Effector for the shape effects used in M@sterpiece. I couldn’t be able to do that awesome M@sterpiece KFX without you guys.

I originally joined the channel to provide moral support after Kusion pasted the password in the FFF staff chan. Next thing I knew, I’d been roped in to QC this movie. Unfortunately, I failed to live up to my reputation by only stalling it for two days. Thanks to fotcfor giving me the opportunity to work on this release. Working with these guys was a blast, and hopefully I managed to help make this release better for all you Idolm@ster fans. Now, I should probably poke people so we can release that last BD volume…

Initially, I was supposed to be encoding this but my computer decided that it hated the BDMV for the movie and raised a real nasty ruckus about it, so I left the encoding duties to __ar instead. As such, I didn’t expect to do a whole lot of work on this, but the final QC phase ended up being surprisingly involved on all counts. It was definitely worth the time it took to go through it all, though. It was really fun to come back to IM@S after such a long time, though I would’ve preferred the movie to have been somewhat less HARUKA HARUKA HARUKA and HARUKA 2.0 HARUKA 2.0 HARUKA 2.0 in the form of Kana… but oh well, fun times were had regardless. Also, gonna join the chorus with __ar and end this on the note that MAKOTO STILL BEST IDOL

After a week or so of intense discussions (mostly not about this show), both the translator and editor concluded that make-up sucks, and that she (Script-chan) wasn’t the type of girl you’d wanna wake up next to sober, but with their help she may one day be that girl.
With any luck dead-ends, pit traps and guerillas won’t prevent us from catching up within the week.
