This is a joint with our good friends over at Mazui Fansubs. We had originally planned on doing this alone until I remembered that Mazui was doing it. Might as well make it a joint, eh?
The subs are strictly Mazui-style. Therefore, things that were mentioned in an earlier post for our Index 2 will not be included in this release. All we did was provide a translator, typesetter, and a quality checker.
Something else to note: this was done using a raw found on TokyoTosho. We will v2 the release when we get a hold of a blu-ray.

The Rihoko arc begins, and it already looks like it’ll be a cute arc. I personally enjoyed this episode. The ED was completely painless to transliterate this time round and not bad at all, although it sure didn’t sound like Rihoko was singing it.
It’s a wonder how Rihoko seems to be happy considering how everyone constantly makes fun of her for being fat and ditzy. As Manaka says in the episode, “Poor girl”.

To answer a few questions:
The slight delay was due to a tiny bunch of corrupted frames in the mt2s source for episode 1, necessitating a new source and re-encoding. The scripts have been re-edited by yours truly and should be even more lucid and smoother than before. Thanks go to ar for encoding and shifting, and XackPhair for supplying the BD source.

ar-Edit: I will be doing a re-encode for ep02 1080p since it seems it suffered as a result of the memory errors I think I just fixed properly! I’m doing another encode now, and I’ll check it thoroughly to make sure no blocks are present. The 720p of ep02 seems fine though, let me know if its not. My apologies, I thought I fixed the problem days back, but seems I hadn’t!

Our encoder messed up, so our release has been stalled by roughly 4 hours (everything else is complete). Considering it’s almost midnight, I’m sure we’ll be in bed by the time the encode is ready. So if anything, expect a release by early-morning (or not, you may get lucky). RAZE EDIT: Expect the release at about 1-2am Eastern Time. Staying up for an extra hour or so isn’t a big deal (unless you’re Kusion).

Man, this has got to be the best episode of the series yet. It’s everything you’d want from an Amagami SS episode, and more.
Translation, timing, and editing were actually done quite a while ago, but apparently the transport stream source was banded everywhere and horribad today. Encoding took a while because of this, and we were basically sitting there twiddling our thumbs for it to finish. Perhaps our next aim is to get an encoding server?
There’s an insert song in the episode. We tried to do it, but I personally gave up at the fifth line (when Junichi screams “NANASAKI!” over the singing). We figured we might as well not waste time figuring it out and embarrassing ourselves. We’ll add the official lyrics in for the batch.

FEEDBACK REQUIRED
Ok guys, I need compatibility feedback from xvid guys with hardware players for the test xvid below of Episode 15. Basically that it’s fully compatible and that the aspect ratio is correctly set on playback, it’s encoded at 720×480 with 16:9 display a/r set, which seems to work fine for me on software players at least. Also has CBR MP3, no QPEL + no GMC. Basically there should be no compatibility issues whatsoever, but if there is let me know. This is for the benefit of anybody who has compatibility issues with my xvid encodes. If you don’t speak up I can’t fix shit cause I didn’t know it was broken to begin with.
