We’re a little earlier (a lot actually) than usual this week, and the encode is a little bigger than usual cause it’s a dark episode.
Enjoy another episode of The Victorica Chronicles and rub-a-dub-dub thanks for the tub!

I know what you’re thinking. Don’t you dare fucking say it.

Anyway, sorry for the delay. Had some encoding issues at first. Please enjoy your weekly dose of La—HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

EDIT: If you didn’t read the other post; then yes, we added the XviD for ep18.

Sorry, we delayed for a week. Or did we?
This week, we’re on a blimp. Or maybe an airship, I can’t tell.
In other news, Yamakan not only ate the purple crayon, but he decided to personally intervene in drawing the dance scenes. He was inspired by gLee. Oh, and I made my first blog post. Hooray!

Victorica makes a mess, Avril looks for sparkly things, a dodgy-looking Sister does well dodgy stuff~, and the plot furthers somewhat! Enjoy this weeks episode!

Thanks for trying, goof, __ar, and fnord.

There was so much Last Order in this episode. It was so hard to pick one screenshot!

EDIT-XviD up.

Again: No Fractale this week

commander`A was using the opportunity to troll unsuspecting leechers on IRC by dangling the prospect of an impending release before their eyes, so let me repeat for fairness’ sake: There is no Fractale this week. It does not air. Neither of the noitamina shows airs this week.

We added "no" to the poll

Go ahead ;_;

This episode has raging books and teachers who aren’t afraid of ghosts without their glasses~ Apparently there’s some plot development too, but since I haven’t had the chance to watch it from beginning to end as yet I haven’t got much to add on this front!
Oh yeah… only one name change this week! Kujo gained a macron and transformed into Kuj?! It turns out Kujo is actually written Kujou (this went unnoticed obviously!), but seeing as it’s common place for the Japanese to drop of long ‘o’ sounds and romanize it with o+macron I thought I’d give it a try (plus this way chances are most people won’t even notice the difference, and I can argue it’s correct!).
tl;dr Scapegoat.
Enjoy and all that jazz~
Copy/paste names list, there’s probably more but they are the main characters.!
Names: Kuj? Kazuya, Victorica de Blois, Glaviel de Blois, Ms. Cecil, Avril Bradley

By the way if anybody does get any sign lag (even though you shouldn’t because they are light enough) I recommend upgrading to this version of VSFilter. It has prebuffer enabled by default (so I’m told) and it’s being worked on actively by guys involved in the MPC-HC project thus it has improvements from their internal subtitle renderer codebase.
Even without prebuffer it’s seems a fair bit faster overall for rendering more complex signs. For 32-bit MPC-HC or other 32-bit players use the x86 version, for 64-bit use the x64 version. These builds are compiled by XhmikosR.

Well, here we are with the first blu-ray batch of Toaru Majutsu no Index II. As with our previous batch, this went through extra editing and QCing.
Some special news that will come along with these blu-ray releases: we will include a secondary script containing “Sparky” for “Biribiri” (switch if you don’t want to see it). Considering the entire team (except Ulrezaj) thought of it as a perfect nickname, we figured it’d be nice to add it back in.
Big thanks goes to XMtS, who provided us with a final QC report. And to Path, who, without a doubt, is a master of Early Modern English… He also assisted with the QC of an episode.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a game to play until the next Index airs.
EDIT (2/5/2011):: We have re-released the files to fix the OP/ED font problems in the original releases. You can download the patch above to update your files to the latest versions if you downloaded the older releases. The DDLs and the torrent have been replaced, so there is no need to patch if you downloaded the files on or after the time of this edit.
arEDIT (2/5/2011)::Also we won’t be bothering with 1080p encodes this time around, it’s not worth the effort/time spent (~9-10hrs extra per ep) just so your player doesn’t have to upscale it on playback. I actually gave it a shot (wasted like ~20hrs of my time) and decided against it. I won’t do 2+gb encodes / 1080p ep just to keep the original dithering to stop the banding either, it’s dumb when there isn’t any real visual gains to show for it.
Sparky EDIT: What people don’t seem to understand is that: yes, there is a script for Sparky and for Biribiri. The DEFAULT script is Biribiri. Those who want to see Sparky will switch the subs, while those who do not… well, do nothing. Stop complaining about it when I’ve given you the choice.
Note:
Episode 2+3 commentary tracks (PCM PID 1101) appear to be the same (I seeked them randomly every 30s or so) as the Main PCM Audio track (PID 1100). Episode 1’s PID 1101 has commentary, the others don’t appear to. We have no idea if this is intentional or the person authoring the BD screwed up and muxed PID 1100 track (main audio) twice for those 2 aforementioned eps.
Bonus Features List:
* Episode 01-03: Creditless Opening
* Episode 01-03: Creditless Ending
720p Release
* Video – CRF ~17, 2-pass mixed
* Audio Track 1 – Main: FLAC 2.0 16-bit
* Audio Track 2 – Commentary: AC3 2.0 192Kbps
