We will be doing Seitokai Yakuindomo * regardless of whether or not it gets simulcasted. Because asterisks aren’t filename-friendly, we will be calling the series “Seitokai Yakuindomo Bleep” in the filenames.
As mentioned in a previous release post, we might do Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren, but only if it isn’t simulcasted. As for the Lite mini episodes, we will continue subbing them on the condition that it doesn’t also get simulcasted (in which case we will most likely drop it).
It is unlikely that we will pick up anything else. Please also note that we will NOT be doing the SAO Extra feature that airs tonight; CR/HS has that covered.
Finally, allow us here at UTW to wish you all a very Happy New Year. Here’s to another great year of anime!
EDIT: Our good friends at FFF offered to joint with us to sub Chuu2Ren, so I guess we’re doing it. Don’t expect lightning-quick releases, though; our schedules won’t allow it.

White Album 2 – 13 (END)

With the release of this episode, the White Album 2 project comes to a close. And what a ride it was! All of us here at UTW will miss watching and working on this series every Sunday.
As is customary with the end of every project we do here, here’s the staff curtain call!
Futsuu (Translator/QC): One of my top five eroge and the magnum opus of possibly my favourite writer, this has been the highlight of my week for the past three months and I’m sad to see it go. Hopefully we’ll get CC (very) soon.
Raze (TLC/Editor/QC): The “White Album” label has always had a special place in my heart, not simply because the original WA anime was my first ever anime project, but also because it’s so rare to find a romance series (and I’m a sucker for romance) where so much happens between the lines. I’m definitely looking forward to a CC adaptation.
archdeco (Timer): This show is Beyond KmE’s Reach.
Bungles (Typesetter): Good thing I’m not lazy. But when I am lazy, I don’t turn up
ar (Encoder/Odd Jobs): Kazusa will always be #1 in my heart.
Nevreen (QC): Todokanai Nev
Xythar (Backup QC): Goddamn it Satelight do you even know what an OP is
We hope you enjoyed our work and, above all, the show itself. Thank you for following us, and I suppose it’s safe to say that we’ll be seeing you again for the Closing Chapter adaptation (if it ever happens)!
P.S.: We’ll announce our next season plans sometime this week, I suppose.

We decided that we’d do the Lites for Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren. Note that this does not mean that we have decided to do Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren itself, as we will be waiting to see if it is simulcast.
As usual, we will not pick it up if it is simulcast.
And if the Lites get simulcast, they’re dropped, too.

An episode this good needs no words to praise it, so I’ll leave you to enjoy it in all its glory.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the custom, guys often give their second blazer button to girls they like at graduation because that particular button is closest to his heart, so it’s like the girl captured his heart (or so the most popular explanation I’ve heard goes; there are others).
Only one episode left! I can already tell I’ll sorely miss WA2 Sundays.

Kyoukai no Kanata – 12 (END)

Honestly, there isn’t much I can say about this episode. I have no words. Take that as you will.
Anyway, we’re done! Here’s what the staff had to say about the show and the project on the whole:
Xythar (Editor/Master Typesetter of Beef Bowls/Snarky Commenter): Having worked on this show for twelve weeks straight, I can confirm that it is most definitely a show.
8thSin (TLC): I wasn’t very impressed after the first episode, but I’m glad to be TLC for Kyoukai no Kanata because it kept getting better and I had a blast tweaking the script. Futsuu’s translation made my job very easy and I was able to focus my time and energy on very few lines that were difficult to interpret in each episode. I can’t wait to re-watch this show on a BDrip though… I must have missed many great scenes because I was staring at the pad most of the time.
archdeco (Timer): I hope to wash off the unpleasant smell of this show with Maken-Ki S2 next season.
Juular (Typesetter): I’m never working on another kyoani show again
Daiz (Encoder): And thus ends Kyoukai no Kanata, the show with youmus using youryoku to make youmutsukis to avoid ikaishis working for the ikaishi kyoukai who are using their inouryoku (that consumes their reiryoku) trying to banish the youmus to ikai. Merry Oh Christmas from your Granno Sponsaas at UTW!
thecowgoesmoo (QC/Chief Hare-Tearer): Now that this is over, we’ll be getting the third season of Full Metal Panic… right? RIGHT?!?
Raze (QC/Handyman/Voice of Reason/因果な商売人): Now where have I seen that kind of ending before…

And here we are with the Suisei no Gargantia OVAs at last. These are some very well-done episodes, especially for OVAs, and it was great fun working on these and revisiting the settings and characters from the show. Hope you enjoy them as well.
Our translator for the main series was unavailable, so we did a substantial translation check and edit of the on-disc subs instead.
The remaining episodes of Petit Gargantia are being worked on and will be done when they’re done.
edit: Episode 15 was v2’d to add a missing font. If you already downloaded the v1, grab the patch and run the .bat file appropriate to your resolution. Sorry about that.
