Sorry for the delay, folks. When sudden illness strikes a small team, momentum suffers.

I think I’m running out of steam on witty(?) release copy.  Plot advances, people sing, some other people dance.  Yukiho digs a hole, Haruka doesn’t fall flat on her face, Hibiki doesn’t interpret the hamster language, Producer-san screws up… Takane continues to be wonderful comedic relief.  Oh, and Ryuuguu Komachi plays a minor part somewhere in there.

Some things that wouldn’t fit in TL notes:

Ryuuguu Komachi (????):  literally means “Beauties from the Palace of the Dragon King.” Ryuuguu Castle itself is a reference to the underwater castle that appears in the folk tale of Urashima Tarou, which you can wiki for more information (including the ‘treasure box’ that shows up in Kotori’s daydream).

Minase (??), Miura (??), Futami (??): Chief mentions during an interview that the three Ryuuguu members’ family names involve water, which gave Ritsuko the idea to use name Ryuuguu Komachi.  The characters in their family names mean, respectively: ?? water shoal, ?? three inlet, and ?? twin sea.  Haruka, who was indignant at being left out, bears the family name Amami (?? ), which uses the characters for heaven and sea.

Summer! The beach! Swimsuits! So why does it look like Producer-san isn’t enjoying himself at all? I guess it hurts that more than 3/4 of the girls he’s with are probably about 10 years younger than he is.  Oh well.  Doesn’t stop this from being a fun ep.  You can expect water guns, yukatas, hot springs, and yes, even pororis!
And for those of you who’ve been thinking “this show really doesn’t follow much of the game’s plot… it’s really just about introducing the idols!”, look no further.  Shit speeds up.
Enjoy two BRAND NEW, never-before-heard songs and a free-standing kara’d MV in a little while.

A pretty depressing approach to the spotlight on one of my personal favorite characters. I think we’re going to need a season 2, or possibly an entire spin-off series to deal with the plot points that were raised and left unresolved in this ep.
I’d say “imagine how I’m going to be when Miki’s ep comes,” except that… well, Miki doesn’t have much backstory to leave unresolved ^^;
Due to repeated issues with kfx lag, multiple new songs per episode and the standard UTW policy to leave things soft-subbed, we’re removing kfx from this release and future releases. Older eps will be fixed in v2’s.  Two tracks as always.
In any case, enjoy the frog costumes and damnable cameramen. See you next week!
arEdit: Update: Apparently the fonts didn’t attend the first muxing due to RL issues, but we, being the gentlemen that we are, organized a second muxing that they were able to attend.
