Whoa looks the real plot is starting to unravel now as we are about to head into the last 7 episodes of the series. Roughly from what I can tell, we’re at the end of the 5th novel (GOSICK V) currently. The next episode should be taking place at the start of the 6th novel (GOSICK VI), which leaves us with 2 more novels after this. There’s currently 7 novels in press, and the 8th novel (and final novel in the GOSICK series) will be published along side the final arc of the anime, according to the author (Kazuki).
The progression looks like it’ll be: GOSICK VI -> 18, VII -> 19-22 and VIII -> 23-24. GOSICK VIII release date is 06/25 which coincides with 23 airing and is pretty much exactly how Kazuki described the wrap-up of both anime and novel will go down.

Whew, that’s all the Amagami SS BD episodes done! I was reminded of how awesome the closing scene of Tsukasa’s arc was, oh gawd. I was expecting Tsukasa’s extra scene to expand on how Tsukasa’s Santa belief was shattered but was disappointed to discover otherwise. Oh well, we got two (yes, two) other scenes instead.
Risa, on the other hand, had three extra scenes; the one the episode closes with made me d’awww so hard. Her episode also has the preview for Miya’s arc.
Nothing whatsoever was changed for Miya’s episode, so the 720p release for it is the same as the standalone one we released earlier.

DRAMA TIME!
Get ready for wall of text. And episode spoilers (sort of).
[spoiler]It’s hilarious how teachers consider a project to be the best way to close a high school career and how THEY ALL DON’T REALIZE ALL THE OTHER TEACHERS ARE THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING. Hence, I am now working on 9000+ assignments at the same time while having to worry about college applications (long story short I’m going to college in the motherland) and having to deal with an ever-lethargic self thanks to all the stress that I’m building up. Maybe I’ll start seeing dead childhood friends too, eh? Well regardless, I still try to make our releases fabulous in every way possible, and as usual Raze and I both did multiple passes through the episode (something like 5 total). We never even noticed the One Piece thing. Call me retarded, but when I hear Tsuruko talking about the white, ribboned one-piece earlier in the episode, Menma has been wearing it for all 5 episodes (past or present), Naruko wears a similar one for an episode or so and even Yukiatsu hops on the bandwagon, I tend to expect that the next “wanpiisu” I hear refers to a one-pieced dress. I know, I should’ve expected this kind of trolling when they made a direct reference to Garigari-kun (which, if you didn’t realize, is a brand of popsicle on sale in Japan) but MAN. Did it have to be the name of another anime? Really?
I was bored and tired and annoyed so I read an /a/ thread about the episode. Bad idea. You can tell I was tired just from the fact that I made this decision. Well, since I read it, might as well make something out of it. Some responses to general idiocy:
?? = stereotypical, not the letter ?. That’s ???. Not that I expected you to hear the difference. That’s why we exist in the first place: so you don’t interpret something completely incorrectly.
Someone already answered it, but yes, the creators pick out one random line by Menma from the next episode, strip it of all context, put in a random screenshot from this episode as “video”, and call it a preview. Well, the clips you see during the ED aside, that is. I hardly know what she’s talking about or why she says ?????? so loudly either. I am not a Showa person, so I’ve never seen the TV show where they originally used the phrase. Hell, I don’t even know if I managed to figure out the correct reference. She might have been saying “bro, shoot!” in Engrish for all I know; the lack of context is excruciating. Sorry, but I’m not the god of all things Japanese. Just a native translator fluent in both languages. (hint: I’m probably still better than you)
“We were left behind.” Don’t remember the line word for word, but guys. Look. The train passes by while spitting out a lot of noise and the scene changes directly after the line. The least you should get out of the orchestration is that there is a deeper meaning to his words.

Look, look. __ar. I’m sorry. Things didn’t have to turn out this way. There are a million ways that I can apologize to you, but none of them seem right. So I’ll just go with this one, simple and clean: I’m sorry.

Anyway this ep was delayed (as you can read from this post (if it’s still up)) because of massive transport stream issues. And by massive, I mean I made 2 passes on my .txt script at school (that means I work more slowly) and we still didn’t even have a full .ts file. Now if that weren’t bad enough, I split the Aria TL with Raze, finish that, go home, show my friend how LoL looks with high graphics settings, come back to mIRC and…no raw on the ftp. Still. What went down this time was the following:
– __ar has finally gotten a hold of a .ts! <Insert fanfare>
– Menu > Items > Ano-Hana-04-TS > Use
– __ar used an Ano-Hana-04-TS!
– Oh no! The item was booby trapped!
– __ar has lost 9999 SAN.
– __ar has gone insane.
– Ano-Hana-04-TS has broken.

…yeah, something like that. The .ts is borked. __ar actually had to download the .ts from C (which aired right before this show) just so he could trim off 99% of the file he just downloaded (some three Gigs or so) for like 70 frames at the beginning of this show. Are we finally done? Does that give us a raw? OH NO NO NO MY FRIENDS, LIFE HAS NOT GIVEN US LEMONS BUT GOYAS. BITTER, BITTER GOYAS. Why the metaphor? Well you see, after doing all of that crap we were still missing the first two seconds of the raw. Sure, if you feel like missing the first line that’s fine, but you know. We won’t settle for this B.S.
My long and analogy-riddled rant concludes with this: getting this proper encode correct is going to take forever (think XviD of anohana ep1), so we’re settling for a share raw v0. Soz.

I thought the mid-batch would be delayed but apparently not but apparently it still was, so here we go! Big thanks to kojika, xgraphy and any others who helped me find/fix problems for the batch. We also fixed some other stuff, I don’t remember what anymore but the main ones were Victorica?Victorique, Glaviel?Grevil, World War?Great War and some bad wording. To make up for the lack of Ep15 pic in the last post, here is one!
Also there are no encode fixes. This is purely script+font fixes so every episode can be patched easily.
I’m still undecided on XviD because it’s a lot of work re-encoding 12 eps. If I do decide to do it, it won’t be for a couple of weeks or maybe even longer. It’s basically a matter of when time permits.
Patches Note:
Extract the contents of the rar to the same directory as episode 01-12, run the batch file, it will create files with the tag (Batch) in their filename, you can delete the originals after this. I didn’t add a delete function just to be safe because it’s 12 episodes. Also there’s nothing stopping the people who dont like (Batch) in their filenames from simply just renaming the files or changing it to v2/v3/etc. I did this for ease of the patchers and I’ve been watching Moshidora so I thought I would attempt to innovate (?).
arEdit: (08/05/2011) Looks like the timing of one line in ep04 got messed up somehow, so just grab the Ep04 Fix Patch and run it on the Batch Version of Ep04. It will only work on “[Victorique]_Gosick_-_04_(Batch)_[h264-720p][C25F52DD].mkv”.
